Hello,

I am in need of a lifestyle change and after many years I have grown tired of the egos and politics in martial arts. I began looking for something that would help me spiritually and also help me reach other goals I have been working on. What I found was yoga, or maybe yoga found me.

I recently took my first yoga class at the wilderness park near my house. It was relaxing, yet physically challenging. I enjoyed it very much, and being outdoors only enhanced the experience. Yoga was much more than I imagined.

I am excited about yoga and will begin taking classes next week.

Welcome to the forum Sean. There are a couple of threads here where members discuss combining their martial arts training of various disciplines with their newer yoga practices; they might be of interest to you as well.

Cheers,

Cheers,
Thank you. I am sure I will eventually look at the threads you mention. But for now I will keep my focus on yoga

Sean

PS - what is the significance of the letters "dvi" under my screen name? It was something different this morning

They are your user text. As your post count increases, it will change. We do them by numbers. 1 post = eka 2 posts = dvi, etc.

To elaborate a little further, they're Sanskrit numbers

And welcome to the forums!

Oh yes! Probably would have made more sense if I mentioned that!
