Hi!

I'm Wendy.

From Tampa, but very much missing the change of seasons from up north.

I am new to yoga, but loving and learning it as completely as I can.

I have a cat.

and can't get the 70's quite right.

apparently, the forums and posting pics either.

I'm so happy to be here!

If any one has the name of an Iyengar teacher in this area, it would be much appreciated!

I'm in my 40's now, and focusing on structure and health of mind and body in all areas, along with sharing with others as much as I can.

Thank you so much for being here!

Wendy,

Welcome to Tampa! I work in Tampa and am new to yoga also. You may want to call this studio. I found a link which listed them as an instructor for Iyengar

SUN DOG YOGA
1413 S. Howard Ave. Suite 206
Tampa, FL 33629

Phone: (813) 902-1235

Good luck!

Sean

Thank you so much for the warm welcome!

Thank you also for reading my somewhat silly introduction, I'm very new to posting in a forum, and trying to write a summary of myself is something that doesn't come easily to me. I just don't know what to write, and feel like I'm the new girl standing in front of a class trying to introduce myself, and coming across as third grader during show and tell. I would love an edit button!

Thank you Nicole for combining my posts into one, and David for the cat compliment. Thank you sanchin for taking the time to look for a teacher for me - I did try Sun Dog, but sadly they went out of business. I will continue my search for a teacher with an Iyengar or Structural Therapy background. I did find someone to teach meditation, and will also be going to twice yearly workshops and privates with Karen Stephan to focus my alignment in asana, but would also like a teacher I can study with year round. I see that Mukunda will be in Tampa in February, and I will be attending his workshops too.

Hi Wendy, cats are fantastic, I'm a big fan of them! I'm writing right now with a cat (I have two otherwise) in my lap, so welcome from both of us!

Hi Mirjana!
You've been catted!
As in "I can't get up to get the door, I'm catted."
Works quite well.

My kitty "cats" my Halloween skeleton, when I'm not home to provide a lap:
