Hello,

I am fairly new to yoga (been practising for about a year and a half on and off). Recently I have become quite serious about it - practising about four times a week - Astanga, Vinyasa, Iyengar etc. I would love to become a teacher one day, but I have a lot of hard graft ahead. I have good flexibility, but very little core strength (or arm strength come to think of it!)

Anyway - I'm really excited to keep learning more, and very open to new ideas and methods etc. Can't wait to get stuck in and to chat to you all.

I've posted a question in the general section about my hamstring tightness - can't wait to hear what people suggest. It was this question that made me stumble across the site. Thanks.

Good morning, Hanu! Welcome to the forums.

As you explore your body in asana, one (possibly) new idea I hope you will consider: perhaps your muscles are plenty strong; you are simply still learning the best ways to use them. This will keep your curiosity going, which will support your practice and be a good example to present to your students should you become a teacher.
