Chandra I have question about the visualiztion part. So am I just to image myself watching the water flowing down the river? ANd don't let your mind ride a log down the river or creek? I am abit confuse on this? I need some help on exact what I am supposed to do inside my mind while doing this visualization while mediating. THanks for the help. I am doing medations right before bed. I don't feel tired when I do this. I am more in a state of being excited from watching a very good movie. It has help me to relex and get to sleep fast rather then thinking and then finally sleeping.

There are many techniques which you can follow for a meditation practice. The "visualization" I suggested to you was not for you to actively imagine a visual scene in your head, but a description of what relationship to take between yourself as an observer of the thoughts, and the thoughts as objects which are passing.

The simple answer is to become a "witness" to the thoughts. If it is helpful, ask "Who is the thinker of this thought?" The practice is one of detaching from the habit of interacting with the thoughts.

If you have a chance to visit a meditation center or take a weekend meditation retreat it can help.

okay So basicly its a game of keeping your mind off of thoughs that are making you worry or upset. And you are to focus on the breath most of the time. I believe the way I mediate last night it made me so relax I sleep through the night without getting up to use restroom at all.
