Hey, guys, I have a question. I was diagnozed with ADHD and was prescribed Adderall(it is amphetamine type of stimulant). Although I am not excited about my reliance on drug to keep me focused and motivated toward the my goals, I amazed how Adderall makes me do just that! I love the state of mind that I getting whenever I am taking Adderall. I get a LOT of things accomplished.
Now here is the question. Is there a meditation technique or any type of emotional inner game therapy(maybe EFT?) that would put me in this state of mind? I REALLY would rather NOT put amphetamines in my system! Love, Yuriy |

Interesting question. I personally do not like the concept of the Yoga Pill which is prescribed as a remedy for this ailment or that malady. I do not advocate the use of drugs to my students. Though "we" often get students who are medicated coming to try and ween off through a yogic path.
Whether it's possible to achieve the state of mind you reference or not I cannot say. What I can say is thaat I believe it's possible to achieve a balanced state of being around an ADHD diagnosis. I would hesitate to try and deliver the state of mind you reference as it's a state of being that's narcotically induced. If you are working with a highly skilled teacher ovver a period of time I think you could cope with ADHD without the use of meds. But then again I am not a doctor.
