Hi folks! I have been practicing yoga for a while and have a quick question. I like to do yoga on my mat on a hardwood floor because when I put my mat on my carpet it is too lumpy feeling. Anyhow, when I do Locust and Bow pose my hipbones grind into the floor under my mat and it really hurts! (I am kinda skinny) I hate to get up and move my mat to the carpet just for 2 or 3 poses! ANy suggestions? I thoguht about getting a small piece of indoor/outdoor carpet for under my mat. I hate to not do my poses to the best of my ability because of this.....

I believe that when it is possible to protect your body, it's a great idea to do so. Saves on future injuries.
How about another mat that you just pop under or over your mat for those poses? Extra cushioning, happy hipbones. |
