A short answer is "Yes, Yoga can cure diabetics" . Specific aasans have to done which work the endocrine glands. Here is a short list of aasans that you can follow:
  • 1. Vakra Aasan aka Matsayasan
    2. Pranayam - Bhastrica Pranayam to be specific.

I would greatly suggest that you follow a instructional video or book.

You can go to my website www.yogabestbuy.com for more details on the products that might help.

Best Of Luck..

Actually my short answer is "no", yoga can not cure diabetes.

Now I have to qualify this since it's the short anser. We do not, as teacher, use Yoga (capital Y) as a panacea for all your ills. It is not a prescription medicine that we write a few asanas down (or teach them to you in a private lesson) and you no longer have diabetes after X amount of time.

Can yoga help support your body's innate ability to heal? Yes, emphatically, yes!!

Yoga works to bring about balance in the body and it's systems. Diabetes is a condition of disharmony in the pancreas. Rather than boosting it, or sedating it (depending on the ailment) yoga should work to bring balance thereby encouraging a weak pancreas and calming a fiery one. IN this way yoga works for both Hypoglycemia AND diabetes.

This is a big deal though and you should be working with a senior teacher well versed in therapeutics. I will say this, without dietary change and supportive emotional work, asana alone will not "cure" anything at all. The approach must be three pronged.
