Are you talking a style of yoga or the breathing exercise "skull shining"?
Either way, if her blood sugar is decreasing, she is using it up during the exercise and so is being very smart in being aware of this and so taking juice or something like to bring her levels back up. An important thing to realize is that breathing exercises are physical body exercises. You use all the muscles of respiration, and some others besides, as well as using your lungs. The tingling....I'm not sure if that is a result of her blood sugar dropping, of energy rising, or of something else altogether. If your wife remains aware of the nuances of practice as it relates to her blood sugar, and is preventative, not letting it get out of hand she is going a long long way to balancing yoga and living. And if she's not been to a diabetic educator, I'd highly recommend it. |
