First, let me say hello to everyone and Namaste. For the benefit of people new to yoga, karma yoga loosely translates to selfless service to others. For a more indepth explanation, read the Bhagavad Gita.

I want to invite all yoga teachers to help me with a new program in the United States that offers 4 free beginner yoga lessons to former or active duty war veterans. Anyone interested should go to Home.

If you aren't a yoga teacher, you can still practice karma yoga by spreading the word about Yoga For Vets to any military vets or even to your favorite yoga studio. Your help is greatly appreciated by me.

I apologize in advance to people that don't live in the USA and are reading this. I don't mean to sound exclusionary.

Om Shanti

Paul

I am new into yoga and heard a lot of good things abut it.

I would surely spread the word as much as I can in TX.

Ron,
Paulz, the member who originated this post, hasn't been on since June '07, so I am going to field this question.

From what I understand, and at least at this point, these programs are offered by Americans to American troops, veterans and Peace Corp volunteers. You can contact both programs directly for more specific info about what they offer. Perhaps using their model, you could start a similar program in your location for your service members. They might even offer resources to assist people in doing just that.

Kind regards,
