Knock-Knee Problem

I’m 27 year old and I still have the knock-knee problem. Because of which my walk looks bad and I’m not able to feel grounded.
Please let me know a solution/yoga/asana which can can solve this problem with in a short duration of time. Thank you.

The knee is the largest joint in the body yet it is controlled by the second largest joint the hip. Knock nees can be lessened by practicing the open hip standing postures - Triangle, Warrior II, especially the latter. I describe in detail how i corrected my knock knees in my book Structural Yoga Therapy pages 78-80. Doing this in a short duration of time and with little effort is unrealistic. For more details go to my website www.yogatherapycenter.org and get the articles on Yoga Therapy for knees and Shoulders. namaste mukunda

Hi Mukundha,

I read your instruction for rectifying the Knock-Knee problem.
But it seems to be very toughest exercise even for an experienced yoga specialist like you.
But I’m a very beginner in yoga. I’m sure I may not be able to stand in WarrierII pose for 27 minutes continously.
Is there any other way to solve this. Please let me know.Thank you.

I have the same problem and wanted to read the articles on your website but could not find them. Have they been deleted? I am 36 and have knock knees and want to lessen the distance. I don’t think I’ll ever have straignt legs. But I am ready to try anything, even warrior II for 27 minutes!

Hi, I was wondering if the warrior II pose is supposed to be done 27 mintues for each leg, or 27 minutes in total. I don’t have the book, but I’m just being curious.
Thanks.

Same here!

I think you have to buy the articles… they’re for sale on the website http://www.yogatherapycenter.org/boutique.html as “Yoga Therapy for Knees & Shoulders”.
I’m doubting about ordering it… I have no PayPal and international shipping’s quite expensive :-(.

I actually hope all I need to cure my knock knees will be in the book “Structural Yoga Therapy”. I’m wondering whether I’ll be able to do the exercizes as a beginner, and get effects. I really hope so. I AM really motivated and ready to practise a lot! Anything (except surgery) to get straighter legs!
