My body is my friend
Today, I felt compassion towards my body for the first time in my life.
I was trying Triang Mukhaikapada Paschimottanasana, and I did bring the pose to stretch my hamstring to the almost unbearable pain limit. Than it hit me. This poor body, he just did what I asked him to do, all the time. How he is now, is the result of my former life. Why am I so unpatient and harsh with him, now ? He just does what I ask, obedient, trying to correct the effects of my foolish actions, like a good friend. Maybe it is time for me to be a better friend of him, too. |

It's a good thing that you acknowledged you pushed yourself a bit too far and next time you will listen to your body. It's one of the hardest things I've had to learn from my practice.
