Sexual Desire

Hello,

I am a 19yr old boy.

I practise asana, and meditation. and a few ethical observations.

but…

can anyone help?

how can I use the natural sexual energy i feel to my benefit?

i hope there are more productive ways to liquify this tension, it stops me flowing…

Kizen buddy,

Find yourself a friend and go at it. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Siva

:stuck_out_tongue:

thanks

for the helpful tip

Kizen,

You are 19, the sexual tensions in your body is going to increase over the next few years and you will be in the prime of it. Like Siva said, enjoy it.

My question will be to you: What do you hope to achieve apart from frustrating yourself and setting yourself up for disappointment? If you are a monk living in a monastry and have taken certain vows then I can understand your need for sublimation of the sexual energy, but if not, then there will come a natural time for you as you grow older when sublimation will flow easier and more natural.

As long as you dont drain yourself with multiple (3 to 5) ejaculations a day.
You will be fine. Like the others said, enjoy yourself.

Hahah, I love it!

While meditation when sexual energy is high is rather enjoyable for me, I must say, when I am on my death bed, the last thing I want to think is, “I wish I had more sex.”

My partner has been traveling for a couple weeks now. Boy have I been doing a lot of meditating…

V Good advice from Siva.

You are in your prime, after all.No point in denying nature’s natural course in your prime. When you’re older and stupider, then … whatever…

I would’nt worry about it.It is perfectly natural. Nothing to feel ashamed about.

Kizen,

So far, I don’t think you’ve gotten much help. It’s not always easy to find a partner, and everybody knows we all need some relief occasionally. But yoga has always maintained the importance of retaining sexual energy and virility. Football players know it. Boxers know it. Soldiers know it. It’s known as self control. How you handle it is a big part of your character.

The best advice I can offer is to keep your mind and body focused and active. According to B.K.S. Iyengar, Badda Konasana helps to relieve pain and heaviness in the testicles, when practiced on a regular basis.

In my opinion the practice of Brahmacharya is not limited to sexual continence, but also includes how you conduct yourself with members of the opposite sex. Women know. Be cool.

Enjoy these feelings you are having.

But if you want to experiment with trying to channel the energy differently through your body, try some bhandas(body locks). These help to divert energy in the direction of the sushne. In particular I would recommend mulabhanda. It is sometimes often thought of as a keigel exercise. Keigel exercises aren’t only for women either, men can practice them to help increase their stamina during intercourse. So by practicing mulabhanda no only may you redirect your energy, but you might be helping to make your next physical encounter last a little longer…

May is suggest. you try siddhasana. or auspicious pose.

Press the heel of the foot of the lower leg LIGHTLY in meditioN pose against the perineum ( i believe the yoni for women). The scrotum will rest on top between the lower and uppr leg in between the sitting-leg asana posture.

This will stimulate and tone the reproductive tract, and may well offer some sublimation.

That said, sex and sexual desire , is notoriously difficult subject, and the source of much frustration and deep neurosis in soceityin general. Which is why i’m happy it’s getting a decent airing here,on this forum. For that it requires a certai a maturity and sophistication t discuss it here and to likewise respond appropriately. These are the the insights i’ve acquirred from full-blown sublimation practices. But it helps to understand the why we are indeed doing these doing the sadhana involved. So we may reap the insight after, ones i’ve acquired , which were richly rewarding and extremely liberating( true mosksha).I stumbled**** acros the sexual tantra, more becuse i was curious.

Still , i would say full blown sexual tantra sublimation and transmuation practices i feel would be better explored within an ashram-type environement or monastery would be more supporitve , and loving place ,to better practice. But at your stage of your biological cycle, i.e the prime of your sexual youth,i wwould see no rush.Good if you experiment and witness the full force of this beast( i.e desire)

This way you can love youreself, and others, more deeply.
This is what it is all about.

I welcome the responses here. though the problem is that more confusions and neurosis, and inevitably conflict may result. least becuase of misunderstanding and lack of insight, or ignorance.

let’s just say, if we learn to love each other we can oveercome teh ignorance, and devlop the inisight.

i fyou are really serious about raapid evolution, grounded in a dedicatiied hatha practice, then we may come to love eac other unequivocally, without judgement or criticism, or conlfict.

You have brought up a very powerful subject, and thankyou for that.

Kizen, Buddy, you will get the help you need here, or somehwere else.

And I know you’re stud, so meeting other girls won’t be a problem;)

Just stick with your hatha practice, and sit in the pos i mention for a long as you comforrtable. Stick with a dedicated hatha practice.

otherwise PM me if you feel you need to. And i will guide you the best i can, approaopriate sadhana, advice or othwerise.
That is alright. I’ll be glad to help , Kizen.

You may also tri visualisation and energetic practices involving raising the base energies from the muladhar to the sadhasrara chakra. This will promise, or hold such rapid evolution.

But there is no rush in Yoga. And acceptance of whrer you are at at any given moment, in life, and wihthin your sadhana, is an integrl part of that.

Remember,LOVE is mainly what it is all about.Giving, receiving, etc

meditate for as long as you feel comfortable in this posture; it would help if you have a dediated hatha practice.

if there are any problems with the body or mind , you or anyone else feel free to PM me and i’ll see what i can offer you.

siva, you have such great responses.

It makes me so happy just reading them!

I’d like to add that what you focus your mind on and what type of activity you pursue does matter. Both Kamma and Core have made some good suggestions. Female perspective is also good.

Thankyou all very much for all the help,

I will attempt all of the techniques mentioned and let you know if i have any problems

much love…
