Let us share our positive experiences/benefits that we gain from YOGA. And obviously negatives (if any) can also be shared

Here is mine:

Been to YOGA recently and already I feel the freshness throughout the day. I have quit smoking and drinking and the feel to go for it during the weekends have dipped drastically, due to my attention getting diverted to such practices. You practice YOGA daily after you get early in morning, the mind and body got freshened up & never felt tampering it. When I feel that my body is getting cleaned up, I really do not like making it dirty by consuming/eating unhealthy foods. My quality of life is really improving... I feel better multi-folds that those days of addition to tobacco's

Honestly, I feel the effect of yoga physically more than anything else. Over the past 2 years of pretty regular practise, I realise my arms are more toned. I realise my body doesn't put on as much weight as it is capable of, and a lot of people still say to me " you seem to have grown taller" ! (I simply think it's just becoz I learn to stand taller now by keeping a straight spine.

Mentally, I think learning yoga has changed me the most for the past 2 years for what I had come to experience. I actually fell in love with my yoga instructor ,who coldly distance himself from me after knowing I was too serious ,and he being only a womanizer who just wants to play around.

Such an irony. The only link I have to yoga ,which is him, actually turned out to be my worst nightmare.

But then, it was a good lesson. I've learn not to step beyond my boundaries.

Yoga experience to me is a treasure , I have back problem before , when I take yoga it's getting health eventually. I am more calm and take things easy.

To my friend she has serious headache since many years ago, now she finds a good way to kill the pain by doing pranayama then it will be vanished. And her snore at sleep also disappeared after continuously practise yoga for a month.

But any one please tell me whether Pranayama or meditation stop the snore ? It's really amazing.

To me now, Yoga is everything, i use to have a lower back pain problem, it started first about 7 years or so ago, someday i will feel fine and another i would found my self can not do anything without popping pain killers, then last december i found out i have AS, the pain become more severe until i found that i can not do any thing without my cane and increasing dose of pain killers, even sleeping felt very painful and i always felt restless, but after only 5 months on doing Yoga asanas, i now find that my health improving better and better, from my last check up, my inflammation rate drop down from out of of the roof to a normal condition, even my doc are amazed and can not believe that i only do yoga, now i can't start my day with out first doing asanas, i found my self practicing yama and niyama automatically, maybe because now i didn't feel any pain, so i can become a better person, Yoga is more than asanas now for me, is a way of life for me, i hope i can be faithful and become a much more devoted and a good student of Yoga as long as i live.

I have started it to cure from illness , to know the power of it, as didnt get the same from Alopathy.
But now its became part of time for every day and am loving it by understanding day by day . once we come to know the more benefits and its functionality, I dont think we leave it.
Specially I came out of several kind of depressions, loosing weigt, snoring, and a best thing is relaxing by observing it at each time.
