Dear Kalaivani,
I'm new to this forum and this one is my first posting- Are you talking of reducing from an obesity state ot just losing extra flabs- In anyways,
asanas like Paschimotannasana, SaralHastaBhujangasana, Sarvangasana, Halasana, Dhanurasana, Veerasana, Trikonasana, ArdhaMatsyendrasana and Surya Namaskar will greatly help if practise regularl. Even pranayam will be of help. As far as diet is concerned, there is quite a lot of confusions about an ideal diet, primarily it depends greatly on the individual weay of living and eating habits, so one shoilud be extremely cautious about dieying as it can comes to more harm than anything else- Best is to stick to Asanas
Regards

Now I've only been practicing for a littel over a year, so take it with no warrenties, but the primary focus of my routines is fat burning, so I'd say practicing a routine with a little more movement, longer holds in a deeper sun salutation, warrior pose, cresent that sort of thing, keep it moving.

You want to hold the standing poses long enough to feel the muscle burn then move on.

The key is really making the muscle burn and keep it moving. This will increase matabolism and burn calories, which mixed with a healthy diet will burn fat and reduce weight.

I can say that I lost about 22.5 pounds in 3.5 months with this, so it worked well for me.

Hope that helps any.

Kalaivani Namaste,
If the person weight, age and eating habit are obtained, from these definitely a diet programme can be sorted out but I insist that regular practice of asanas is the best alternative.

Pravin

Firstly do not think of weight loss, try to think of fitness.Trying all types of diets is a myth..You cannot achieve permanent weight loss unless you change your diet, lifestyle and do daily exercise.

Take positive steps to achieve fitness, eat good diet and do regular exercises. Remove any negativity about your weight.Try to be cheerful and engage yourself in your work. Spend time with friends productively, going for a walk, swim..

Try yoga for perfect body weight, but you have to be patient enough. Do not eat anything in betweeen meals. Follow these simple rules of yogic diet.

Eat more fruit
Drink fresh juice
No junk food, soft drinks, soda.
Drink natural water
Regular exercise like running, walking, yoga or swimming.
Eat more salad
Have a good night sleep everyday.
Dont go for any crash diets.
Skipping meals will not help in the long run.
Whenever you feel try vegetable salads or fruits.

Hope this helps

Daljit
