I am interested in learning Yoga and would like some suggestions on good intructional DVD's or books for beginners. I'm also confused at all the different types of Yoga and not sure which one would be best for me.
I'm an ultra distance trail runner and am hopeful Yoga might help my running. I would like to increase my flexibility and overall fitness. |

Kundalini Yoga has proved to be the best for atheletes. A professor who is a yoga expert in alaska has designed a great dvd for athletes.
specific Yoga dvd which is designed for athletes: http://www.yogabestbuy.com/product/YBD551320037 This DVD is a great yoga conditioning workout for all sports. It was originally part of a very popular accredited course called "Yoga for Skiers and Runners" at the University of Alaska Anchorage. This set of exercises is designed for all athletes including recreational and competitive runners, walkers and skiers. This DVD will build overall fitness and flexibility for any kind of sport and aerobic activity. It iwll help increase your enjoyment of aerobic exercise and decrease the likelihood of injury. thanks |
