This shell is not one I want...I despise it.
The femaleness has brought me sorrow, pain, anguish...
"Not true," my inner heart whispers "your past actions has brought you sorrow, pain and anguish...
Your present actions no longer brings sorrow, pain, anguish."

"That is true" I whisper back.


This shell has disappointed me.
It is weak and unhealthy.
"Not true," my inner heart whispers. "You made it sickly by not befriending it. You pushed it aside and demanded she do your bidding. She only wants your good intentions, your attention, your respect."

This shell is one that I despise.
It is not perfect.
"Not true," my inner heart whispers.
"There is perfection in all that is created.
Your imperfect perfection sees the imperfection.
Your Self knows that your shell is perfect."

This shell is my home.
I will treat it with loving kindness.
I will feed it with nourishing food.
I will provide it with rest.
I will strengthen it with an asana practice.
I will decorate it with beauty.
I will acknowledge the perfection that it is.
I will make this body a home

and

How true your words rang. Our bodies are mistreated...abused and forgotten. Although we did it to ourself - we send angery words and imagery, thus being the cause of our own misery in many ways.
