Our lives are to be discovered.
We will find many diversions, many excuses to not know ourselves. It takes the most courage to see and to know ourselves. Know your own humanity, then the heavens will come to you and God will be there. Face yourself--be present in your own presence--see with separation. All will be provided for you when you commit to earnest self knowledge. Our culture develops much outside the body, keeping us in the annamaya kosha, when what we truly need, is to develop and invest in our inner most selves. Be thankful for it all, as the dark times give us the impulse to rise to the light. Swami Muktidharma Taken from my Yoga Nidra class notes Rocky Mountain Institute of Yoga and Ayurveda, Yoga Therapy Intensive, June 2004
