Sirsasana
Sirsasana (The Headstand)
Decapitaphobia: fear of snapping off one’s head like the end of a stringbean. Also bars the somersault, even imagining the headstand. Perhaps I can sneak up on it, Walk in backwards, Roll to my shoulders And stay there, belly threatening To engulf head. Nevertheless, I am proud of this ungracious pose, Even though not sirsasana. I would go further and do the plow But am hampered by tightly wound hamstrings. In any case backwards is not forwards. No longer a stringbean, Must practice courage.
