Hello, I am relatively new to the Yoga World and I have a few questions that interest me, and I wonder if some of you would mind answering them.

1. Coming from East to West, Yoga originated in India, so what is it all about over there?

2. Compared to here, do you think there are significant differences between yoga practised in North America, and Yoga in India? What kinds of differences?

3. Why does Yoga use poses?

4. What are the benefits of Yoga?

5. What is the difference between different types of Yoga? How many different types are there?

6. What kind of a person (in your opinion) takes Yoga?

7. How long have you taken Yoga?

8. How often do you do it?

9. Why did you start?

10. How would you describe Yoga?

11. What have the benefits been for you?

Thank you, I hope this wasn't inappropriate to post in this section, and will give me a better idea about Yoga and its Culture. Feel free to e-mail me any additional thoughts.
