Body Functions Acting Strange

Recently it’s as if all my body functions have gone a little strange. I think it’s a positive strange but I just want to know what other people think. I’ve been observing it very closely the past few days and think it has something to do with my raw food fast a little while ago.

I have normal bowl movements but my urine has increased substantially and more so it’s like really clear. I have been drinking quite a bit so I’m not to worried about this but thought it might be relevant to other issues.

My skin keeps producing more and more oil then normal and I have breakouts in places like my lower back, upper back, chest, and face. It’s pretty extreme from what I’m use to. I haven’t changed my soap or amount of showering.

My sweat during yoga is still the same amount however about half way through the smell changes a lot. It almost smells like I’m sweating jasmine (the flower). It’s really light but it’s kind of odd. A friend mentioned that maybe my senses were becoming more acute and I might be smelling the female pheromone underneath the sweat as I get further into practice.

My diet has gone back to the same. I have been eating more organics then I normally do and that’s about it. Any thoughts?

Dear Bridgette,

Purification of the physical vehicle may have many surprising and unexpected effects and outcomes. Nothing sound to serious to me so enjoy the change. For me the outer change is always the indicator that something on the inside or inner levels are busy changing or has already changed. I think through meditation and your yoga you will notice these inner and subtle changes.

i hate to be completely boring and pedantic, but ummm...PMS (peri-menstrual syndrome, not specifically pre-)? some of the things you mention just scream it to me . combined with the eating and practicing changes you've instituted in your life, your feminine cycle may be changing too.

i don't see PMS as a negative, it is almost an enhancement of your normal senses juggernauted by hormonal changes. i noticed nice changes in my various cycles when i changed my diet and my practice.

i read somewhere that a woman's body burns between 2-5% MORE calories at rest during PMS, which could account for the extra sweating.
