I'm an ashtanga yoga instructor and have practiced for over a decade without any injurys. Three weeks ago I broke my collar bone and my practice has consisted of only pranayama and some light forward bends. Would you have any insights on recovery and things I could do to increase healing.

This is a delicate break. best is to stop asthanga practice until full cat bows can be done up to 20X they are described in my book, page 180. Asthanga practice puts a lot of stress on the shoulder joints and collar bones. It would be contraindicated until healing is done. in the meantime doing standing poses with arms in a variety of postures to tone the muscles; bridge with many variations of arms; same with cobra. namaste mukunda
