Hi Mukunda
I have a student who has been getting pain in her tailbone for some time, following a fall a couple of years ago. The pain has gradually been getting worse, to the point where it is uncomfortable for her to sit without a cushion. Her doctor has now diagnosed coccydynia.
I have never come across this condition and wondered what advice you would give.
In class, last week, she felt that she 'needed' to do cat and virabhadrasana II, this appeared to provide some release. Any other suggestions?
Thank you
Jill

While some motions such as squat pose (Utkatasana) half and full may provide some relief yoga rarely can affect this for full relief. I would suggest seeing a physical therapist or rolfer for pelvic floor bodywork. Mula bandha is contraindicated. namaste mukunda
