Dear Mukunda, Thank you for yesterday's program at Gentle Strength. I didn't get to ask you, but I have a swollen vertebrae, T-1 or T-2, I can't really tell. The greatest discomfort is in shoulder shrugs with the heads of the shoulders moving slightly forward. Recommendations? Thanks, S

Vertebrae cannot swell, so I suspect you mean lymphatics adjacent to it. I suspect you are under stress and that is the weak end of the loop. Sounds to me like you need a massage to relieve congestion and perhaps avoid bridge or Shoulderstand in the meantime. The movement that bothers you will be a tension of the rhomboids and a stretch of the middle trapezius. That information may help your masseuse to do a better job at relieving you.
