Hello Mukunda, I have been doing yoga for 9 years, but just started doing head stands about 3-4 weeks ago. Had tried it early on, but was uncomfortable with the feeling. Now it feels right, but it is giving me a lower backache. I wonder why, and what can be done.

Maintain a contraction in your abdomen and see if that doesn't relieve problems. Upside down often challenges the balance of psoas with rectus abdominis. If you maintain that low back is usually fine. Otherwise could be something else. Let me know if it doesn't improve.
