Spinal hurt

Hi
I am 46 yr. I have been practising hatha yoga about 1 year. I've got a little pain on my spine around thorasic vebtera. It hurt only when I arch my chest forward, but it is not hurt when I turn my upper body and it is alright when I
am doing yoga asana no pain. I used to see doctor and got a pack of pills. I'd like to know what is wrong with my spine, serious or not. What's your advice?

please ask your Hatha yoga teacher this very question.

If you should choose to revisit this with us after that, please consider sharing information of more depth. For example "a little pain" really does not tell us anything. Both "little" and "pain" are very subjective - they differ greatly from person to person.

I wish I could explain more in detail,but my english is limited. I am not english native speaker or as a second language. If I range the degree of pain from 1 to 10, I think my pain is 3. It does not distrub me much in daily life. What I concern is in long-term. Do you think it cause by doing yoga or my aging? I used to play basketball for years and badminton for 2 years before practice yoga.
