I get pain in my left shoulder when I try to do Surya Namaskars. Once it starts I won't be able to do anything that puts pressure on my shoulder. But if I don't do Surya Namaskars it doesn't hurt. What could it be? An injury of some sort? If you have any clue please let me know.

You don't give me much to go on, as you do not tell me which motion of the Sun Salute you suspect is the problem. I suspect it is from the upward motion of the arm in the first position and it is repeated and stressed more in the Dog pose. It could be an old injury, bursitis, arthritis, or your body just doesn't like the Sun Salute.
