Hello. I have been practicing for over two years, almost daily. Twice now in the past year my T3 has gone out, the first time being excruciating, the pain also moving down the arm. Second time was not so bad, but still pain. My intuition tells me it is caused by Shoulderstand. I use support under the shoulders. I love to practice it, but am now afraid. Any advice would be appreciated. Blessings, S from Calgary

S – I would suggest you practice Bridge (pg. 210) and cat bows (pg. 179) as described in my book. These are prerequisite to form strength in the middle trapezius and posterior deltoids necessary to do full Shoulderstand without pressure on the cervical and upper thoracic vertebrae. Avoid doing the full pose and plow but do the half posture variation as shown in my book.
