After a session of yoga, I often find that I have a near unquenchable thirst. I have literally put my mouth under the faucet and drank for a full minute or longer. I have sometimes drank until my stomach is filled to the max and I still feel thirsty. Is this normal? Why does yoga bring it on but not other exercises?

Sounds unqiue to you. Not sure why you have this reaction, unless you are dehydrated to begin with and yoga can get you in touch with that issue. Yoga's major benefit is sensitivity to your self. from there one sees what one needs to change.
