Do some of you get this tremendous feeling of slowing down in meditation? As if your thoughts and consciousness are occasionally entering another time zone?

Hi Jitendra, I think what you are experiencing is a natural progression in your meditation. I do get similar feelings, though for me I'd describe it more as my thoughts slowing down, then disappearing alltogether, and I just become part of all that is around me. Can I ask - do you practise sometimes in a group with a meditation master or on retreats?

Paulo Yes i practice in group meditations and with a Master. Group meditations help your resolve and a Master is essential to see beyond yourself.

Yes, in fact I make it a point to send my thoughts away during meditation - knowing that they will all be waiting for me when I'm done.

Hi Jitendra, if I was you I'd talk about this to your meditation master, you might be ready to slightly modify your practice to move on a little further ... I love the way that Tibetans talk about out thoughts being carriges on a train, and as we meditate the carriages slow down and eventually we can go in the space between the carriages - it looks like you're ready to go through the space

May you find peace between the carriages!
