Namaskar All,
The United States of American is holding its presidential election this November 4th, but early voting is happening now. I dropped off my ballot today at the US Embassy in Kathmandu and I was feeling very proud to have the privilege to cast my vote for our next president. It is an exciting time in America's history and, because of our place in the world, it is exciting time for all of us, world-wide. Please go and vote and bring all your friends along to vote with you! Make it a group date---go before or after your next Yoga class! Vote from your heart! Vote from your wisdom! Vote from your gut! Vote from your sacrum! We're all embodied yogis here, so this list could get very long---just get out there and vote! Om Shanti,

As you say Nichole, may wisdom prevail this time. God Bless America and her people to make the right decision.

Thank you, Pandara! I know that I am truly happy about the results and cannot wait for the change. I think this proves that American people are capable of growing!
The next four years are going to be AWESOME!

Ah, today feels so good. I normally go to bed at 10, but I was up until 1145 CST watching the various speeches and soaking it all in. This AM I saw Oprah (who I am not normally a huge fan of but definitely has her moments) on TV, and she best summed up how I felt last night and today (paraphrasing)...
It feels as though there is a shift in consciousness. She couldn't have put it better. I feel like I am sharing in a stream of consciousness with so many others. I really do. I live in TX and I don't even feel the negative energy of my coworkers who didn't vote for Obama. Some didn't and are still OK and even happy w/the results b/c it speaks so much bigger than the election. Some are in a funk, but as Oprah said, I feel like I have tapped into something and their negativity just bounces off of me, when normally I'm the type of person who soaks everyones emotions up. I've been getting emails from my cousins in England and they are super ecstatic too. Who woulda thought? It feels great. |
