I bought my girlfriend some of those new Sketcher shoes for Christmas that are designed to make you have better posture while walking and/or ( I forget ) exercise your lower half better while walking. We are only fair-weather walkers so she hasn't tried them yet. I am curious if anyone here has any experience with them. I am thinking of getting a pair for myself. Thanks for your thoughts.

skechers r super comfortable go get them. alternatively u may want to check up vibram 5 toes which are shoes that looks like gloves - it is like walking barefooted a nice sensation when u walk on grass.

Are those the shoes that have a wobble in them to help increase muscle tone and balance? I just bought a pair of off-brand wobble walking shoes from payless, not for the wobble but because they were on sale and I had no walking shoes. I don't notice that my lower half is any stronger/better/faster, but they are surprisingly comfortable and really neat for freeform dancing around my room to loud music. They don't have the flat-foot limitation of normal shoes, more creative.
I know nothing about the Sketchers though, or if that is what you're even talking about. |

Yes, I believe those are the ones; there main feature is the slight downward curve of the soles. Vibram 5 sounds nice-I'll check those out. Thanks.

I believe that sole was originally marketed by MBT. I'm not familiar with the Skerchers knockoff (if that's what it is) but the MBT's are the original. I've personally experimented with the Earth negative heel shoes - with mixed results.
The vibram, I have heard, are supposed to be amazing. Of course walking barefoot may be best, depending on the surface on which one is treading. gordon

Thanks Gordon, I may have spelled it wrong but generally it's called Sketchers. It cost $100 so if they were Knock-offs ,they were good ones, I think. I'll google MBT as I am unfamiliar with that acronym. Never heard of Vibram until the above and that is very interesting to me now. Namaste

Got it and the proper spelling-added a T. They are similiar. The next stop for me is an investigative trip to the Shoe Carnival, although I hate shopping for anything but groceries.
