I have been reading a bit of late, and I came across some translations of ancient Sanskrit, talking about Vimanas, flying machines and I wonderered given that Indian knowledge and practice of what even today seems advanced health care systems, did it actually originate from an advanced race of people who inhabited this earth some few thousand years BCE ?

Patanjali, what was it, a gift from the heavens, hmmmm, I wonders at that too.

Spiritually, I am a seeker, I seek and try and see what works for me, and I am because of the yoga, being drawn more towards Indian spiritualities, as I am seeing a lot of truth there, that appears to be working for me. I am also a bit of an explorer and seek origins of things, I suppose, looking for the source of truth, when I find truth, I dig further and am seeing something with these ancient Sanskrit texts, which are not as fanciful as one might think, as they describe matter of factly observations from the time, even texts on how to build these machines and accounts of wars fought by them, one report of which seems strikingly like a nuclear attack.

Even Alexander the Great has reported disc like things when he tried to invade India, I wonders....

Anyone else have any ideas on this ?

Dear friend,

Ancient Indians esp rishis and sages were philosopher of vedas and astang yogis . many of them were siddha yogis i.e had known the creator of this universe in nirvikalpa samadhai. In modern days as indians we have seen many such yogis.

Please read these website www.atributetohinduism.com and www.indiadivine.com, www.vedmandir.com, read introspect and judge yourself.

Lot of ancient indian science were destroyed by islamic and christian invaders in india due to hatred and vengeance as in any other country.

OM

What I have learnt on the subject is ... usually dicarded as fantasy. Yet there is evidence that the history of Earth and human history (as the two go togheter) is shockingly different of that what is called materialist science believes. To talk about these things is to instantly discredit one in any circle, not just scientific, but even among fellow people of ordinary conscience. Materialism crept in so much in our culture and existence that I often find it's effects in many advanced yoga practitioners.

About flying machines ... in our contemporary pride we think that we are the peak of human evoution, and indeed we are. But this peak is not our material cuture, but the free individual consciousness we posess.

The map of Piri Reis from the XVXth century, look it up on google, shows the coastine of Antarctica, when they did not know about it's existence, and even today it is coverd by hundreds of meters of ice. The coastine has been mapped in the XX century using satellites, probes, and pictures from airplanes. Yet there exist an authentic map of it from the middle ages. It supposed to being copied from earlier maps, originating from the library of Alexandria.
Such map could be only made by people having airplanes or similar flying constructs, and the last time Antarctica was uncovered before 10000 BC.

Though it appears we are constantly told by the modern men of science that all these question marks that appear out of place in history are in fact pseudo science, I cannot help but think there is more to this world than what we are allowed to know.

Many modern archaeologists and historians on the subject of these artifacts out of time will not make comment except to say it is a product of fakery, how sure they are of our evolution. But what these men of science and history forget, is that if anything is found, then it is only a fraction of what might have been, and how can conclusions be drawn on such little information.

Though I am not a man of science or history, I reserve the right to seek answers to my own questions, and answers wherever I might find them, academic qualification does not indicate a person of higher intelligence, it indicates only an ability to study.

I do not seek fame, fortune or my name in lights, all I seek is the truth as it applies to myself, my comfort in my knowledge that there is more to this world than that meets the eye.

Odd it is though, on reading here ;

Hindu Wisdom - introduction

What is there written, I see many parallels with my own personal belief, pagan I am in the West, but not pagan enough, many of the ideas, do not fit with myself, I respect the pagan truth, but that truth seems to be drawing away from me these past few months.
