Hormones have me moody and craving all kinds of unhealthy crap. Take away the meat and some of those things look good haha.

Tacos on the inside, Doritos on the outside?!
I totally thought of that first back in high school, only I called it ‘nachos’, and it was just on a plate.

These are terrible. Where I live, it seems like it is the norm to eat this way, and to care about what you put into your body labels you as “obsessive” or “a food snob.” It is a struggle to steer my four kids toward healthy choices rather than foods like the ones in that article.

Also there are very few yoga classes where I live. No sidewalks, no one walks anywhere. People eat crap and remain sedentary.

Carmenivy-

I recommend you buy the book the “gluten free almond flour cookbook” by elana amsterdam, she is a women who lives out of boulder and is committed to providing healthy and delicious easy recipes that are mostly but not completely vegetarian. She made this cookbook because she herself had a family to feed and diet restrictions and wanted her children healthy. Try it out, you and your children won’t regret it. She even has tips for how to give kids good food without making them left out, and your taste buds wont be sorry either. this book saved my mouth and makes it easy to eat healthy in places that don’t.

Thanks! I will try to find the book. I work at the public library after all.

Wow, thats crazy! I used to eat that way when I was 16, but I certainly couldn’t stomach it anymore! Besides the occasional indulgent of dark chocolate or Nachos, I think i do pretty well! :stuck_out_tongue: Thanks for the book recommendation, I’ll see if I can track down a copy.

Hi.

Kids need variety. The more various taste expereinces they have when small, the nore they will be able later to make choices, and avoid bad habits. The problem is more complex though, as on one part, we can’t force them to eat, let’s say vegetables, if they don’t like it. And we adults are often unable to realize that small children still have the natural sense of what is good for them, and in what quantity.

On the other hand, if we allow ourselves to be judgemental about others, we are really not any better. We must take one step further, and be the model for a better choice. It works. But most of the time, we face conflict and rebuke exactly beacuse we are judgemental.

Even “good” foods can hurt you:

They can produce inflammation, which is at the root
of chronic disease. You can fight inflammation with
foods though:

Everybody is different. what food is good for somebody might be
bad for somebody else. There is no “average person.”

NUTRIGENOMICS is a science emerging. It creates a specific diet
for you, depending on your genes.

You have to be the change you want to see in the world.

                Mahatma Gandhi

It all looks good taste probably like your eating straight grease though.

I love buying fresh foods and trying out new recipes- but I will say- I have a guilty pleasure when it comes to fast foods >_> I wish they’d just go away so I wouldn’t feel tempted heh.

I stay away from that garbage for the most part. Once in a while I’ll treat myself. I pretty much just eat entire truckloads of veggies in a sitting.

GMO (genetically Modified) Foods are dangerous

There are studies about it. Most of the harmful effects of GMO foods occur after 90 days.

Animals fed with GMO foods died at a higher rate than animals fed a normal diet
(cca 2-3 times higher rate).

Cca 80 % of soy used in foods are GMO.

There are medical doctors requesting the removal of GMO foods from the stores and destruction of GMO crops.

How to avoid GMO foods

I posted about it before.

PLU (Price Look-Up) code is valid worldwide. GMO foods start with the figure 8.

see user guide.

The site is quite informative. It has even a blog.

I think I just had my appetite destroyed permanently researching the Aghori sect in India.

Amazing how they worship exactly the same deities I do (Bhairav and Bhairavi).

I just saw one eating burnt, rotten human remains.

What is seen cannot be unseen. :frowning:
