    Hi Mirjana
You live in Amsterdam too! thanks so much for your message. It is good to know that there are lots of yoga choices and I can study in English too!
And thanks for the web links, I will check them all out. I don't have an address yet Will look around once I arrive to find something, so I think that will influence my decision as need something convenient too.
I was studying ashtanga and flow yoga, but have had some problems with my back that mean have been doing gentler Hatha and also some pilates with a yoga therapist. However, not sure I will be able to afford to pay for a private teacher when I get back to European prices!
I feel very excited about Amsterdam the more I hear about it! I just have 3.5 weeks of my job left here which seems to be going very slowly!

Thank you again for you help.

    Have a nice day

    Jenny

    Hi Jenny,

wonderful city you're moving to! I live in Amsterdam. I know a few good yoga studios, but it depends of course what are you looking for. Do you have any preferences? Do you have already an address in Amsterdam? My favourite school is of course where my teacher's program is. The lessons are given in Dutch but my teacher always takes care that English speaking people understand as well. The web site of this school is : Amsterdam Yoga Centre
Than I can recommend also two other studios where the lessons are given in English:
Yoga Amsterdam - Svahayoga; Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Krama, Hatha, Iyengar, Pranayama, Meditation, Satsang, Kirtan, Workshops
    yogayoga.nl

And we have also Iyengar Yoga Center in Amsterdam if that is your preference. And many, many others, so no worries that you wouldn't find something for yourself. It is a vibrant city!
Let me know if you need any help when you arrive.

    Friendly greetings,

    Mirjana

Hi Mirjana, I noticed from your post about Vipassana that you live in Holland. Do you mind if I ask where? I am moving to Amsterdam in October (from China, though I am British) so a big change, and am wondering if you have any info about good yoga schools there?
    Thanks a lot!
    Jenny
