mann is not actually mind.In hindi mann and manas are used as follows
My mann wants to eat mango's, mera man ho raha hai ki i should visit hill station(i want to visit a hill station).A mann is used for expressing desires but these desires are wishes like suddenly you feel like doing some thing.To express it exactly in english is difficult b'cos a mann is not a storong desire or an outcome of deep thinking or intellect.it is a casual instantaneous wish.
